Karnataka Bharatagama Pratishtana is a forum of about 20 organisations promoting various Bharatanatya Traditions of Karnataka , headed by eminent Dancealogists, Scholars, Art Historians, Performing artists. Established in 2010, it has persistently involved in the process of reconstruction and reinvention of the Classical Dance Heritage of Karnataka and to elevate the richest and Precious Classical regional art from to the National level.
KBP fecilitates interaction between the eminent Scholars, Dancealogists and Practicing Artists with interdisciplinary and Cross disciplinary approaches. Such environment will augur the need of producing brilliant minds to contribute significantly to the world order in dance heritage.
In this direction, Seminars, Conferences, Lecture Demonstrations, Master class by experts in the field are frequently organised . Research and Documentation regarding the Dance Heritage of Karnataka , Gurus and their contribution is one of the major missions of KBP .We also have 7 important publications in this regard
Presently, Karnataka Bharatagama Pratishtana is the only centre recognised and affiliated to UGC- State Dr. Gangubai Hanagal Music and Performing Arts University, to conduct, PhD Doctoral Programme, Post – Graduate Degree programme, Diploma and Certificate courses.
